20 Under 40 Class of 2024: Lindy Linebaugh
Lindy Linebaugh is a rising star in the warbird industry, quickly gaining recognition for her work promoting warbird organizations, air shows, and one of the world’s most famous P-51 Mustangs, “Gunfighter.” As a Marketing Director and Social Media Manager, Lindy has successfully combined her passion for the industry with her background in marketing. She has an uncanny talent to capture key moments and produce stunning promotional materials, attracting the attention of literally millions of people.
She started working in the industry as an intern with the Commemorative Air Force, working exclusively with VPs of Membership and Marketing to launch the Vintage Warbird Rider’s Club. She then worked for the Red Star Pilots Association, developing social media content to attract new members. She just completed her first year as the Marketing Director for the Terre Haute Air Show. In less than nine months, she amassed over 23,000 social media followers and generated 45 stories across 8 different media outlets, resulting in an attendance of over 34,000 people.
Lindy is currently the Marketing Director for P-51 “Gunfighter” and the inaugural Rumble over the Redwoods Air Show, featuring Lost Coast Warbirds and Planes of Fame Air Museum. She has worked directly with the best of the best, promoting the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, USAF A-10 Demo Team and Heritage Flight, TITAN Aerobatic Team, and more.
Without public recognition, the warbird industry will not survive. Recognizing Lindy’s work highlights the importance of preserving the warbird legacy and honoring the sacrifices of those who have served.
Lindy is passionate about giving back to the industry that raised her and inspiring the next generation of aviators.
